The Clinic and Polyclinic for Internal Medicine (KIM) offers an exciting, acute medical activity with a wide spectrum of complex internistic diseases. To strengthen our team, we are looking for senior physicians with a professional focus in geriatrics. The Universitätsspital Zürich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland. Our over 8'600 employees and around 700 trainees are committed daily to the well-being of our patients. ### Your main tasks • Geriatric consultation service at USZ in cooperation with the Stadtspital Waid (University Clinic for Geriatric Medicine Stadtspital Zürich) • Care of age-traumatology patients in the Center for Age Traumatology in interdisciplinary cooperation with the Clinic for Traumatology • Care of patients in the geriatric outpatient clinic, especially in the context of preoperative assessments • Comprehensive and professional care of our patients as well as their relatives • Rotating assignments on our interdisciplinary pool wards as well as on our Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) • Participation in the senior physician on-call service of the Clinic for Internal Medicine • Supervision and teaching of resident doctors in training, as well as engagement in their further education Your profile • Specialist title FMH General Internal Medicine • Focus in geriatrics already acquired or shortly before its completion • Broad and multi-year clinical experience in General Internal Medicine, ideally with experience in the inpatient area and/or on an IMC/intensive care unit • Holder of the Sonography/POCUS certificate or shortly before obtaining it • Doctorate to Dr. med. completed or shortly before its completion • Resilient, team-oriented and communicative personality with enjoyment in interdisciplinary cooperation and the training of medical juniors Our benefits We look forward to your application Rahel Aggeler Recruiting About the USZ The Universitätsspital Zürich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland.
