The focus is on writing a dissertation in the field of film studies. The tasks also include conducting teaching events (2 semester hours, including organizing excursions to film festivals) as well as supporting work at the chair and seminar for film studies. Profile A very good or excellent degree (Master's or equivalent) in film studies or in an art or media studies subject with a thesis on a film studies topic is required. The assistant position is assigned to the chair of Prof. Dr. Daniel Wiegand. The dissertation should be historically oriented and deal with silent film or cinema in the first half of the 20th century.
