Lecturer for training in art sciences and artistic studies (25-30%)

• 11 July 2026 • 25 - 30% • Indefinite duration • Zürich The Bachelor of Arts in Art Education (BAE) is an attractive basic training for various teaching and mediation activities in the context of artistic and cultural education. Students are prepared for a first professional degree in different practical fields of art education or for a master's (for example, a master's with a teaching diploma in visual arts at secondary II level). The curriculum offers a comprehensive program of compulsory and elective courses, focused on learning and development processes in artistic pedagogy and in aesthetic and cultural education. To complement our teaching team in the BAE, we are looking for, starting from 1 November 2026 or by agreement, a (m/f/d) Lecturer for training in art sciences and artistic studies (25-30%) # The call is addressed to artists with a background in art sciences or art theory, a continuous and proven exhibition activity, as well as active participation in the practical field. The portfolio demonstrates, through personal projects, a marked interest in questions of space and object or in drawing as an autonomous artistic expression. We are looking for an enthusiastic personality capable of working in a team, who, in addition to a master's in one of the mentioned fields, manifests a pronounced interest in educational processes and practices as well as in university culture. You are ready to rethink and implement in a team the training in art sciences or art theory of our students, as well as the development of artistic and creative skills in the mentioned fields. You possess the necessary professional and university didactic qualifications to plan, structure, and conduct courses. In the Bachelor Art Education, teaching offers are generally developed and realized in a team - experience in interdisciplinary collaboration is important. Courses take place every week in a continuous manner or in the form of quarterly projects. Team meetings, internal training, and events specific to the program are part of the position. We offer a varied and interesting teaching activity within a dynamic team and a contemporary curriculum. As a lecturer, you actively contribute to shaping the teaching offers and thus make a valuable contribution to the development of the training. The salary is in accordance with the salary ordinance of the canton of Zurich.
