Intern Social Work 80% # The Bewährungs- und Vollzugsdienste (BVD) are one of eight main departments of JuWe and are responsible for the execution of custodial sentences and court-ordered measures, as well as for probation services. They make an important contribution to crime prevention and the social integration of convicted persons.   The Bewährungshilfe department of Vollzug 1 is responsible for probation services after conditional release as well as transition management before release from custody. Their tasks also include the monitoring of instructions within the framework of probation services, as well as crime-preventative social counseling during alternative sanction execution and the accompaniment of outpatient treatments without additional punishment.   As of February 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed, team-oriented, and responsible personality for a 6-month internship in Social Work for the department BWH V1. This is your field of action ### • You support the case managers in fulfilling their mandate, particularly in taking on partial tasks such as advising and empowering clients with the goal of reducing recidivism. This includes organizing suitable therapy placements, formulating treatment goals, as well as checking the achievement of goals, monitoring instructions, and carrying out probation services according to the Risikorientierten Sanktionenvollzug (ROS). Additionally, you write reports and submit applications to the ordering authority. • You support our clients within the framework of material assistance and contact mediation in the areas of work, housing, finances, and social insurance. In doing so, you work interdisciplinary as well as with external bodies such as therapists, authorities, courts, and social offices. • You perform administrative tasks such as general correspondence and file management. • You also participate in team meetings and intervisions. This is what you bring with you ### • You are in an advanced stage of studies in Social Work (FH/HF) and are interested in forensic psychiatry/psychology, criminology, as well as working with convicted persons. • You are characterized by networked and goal-oriented thinking, independent and precise working, strong organizational skills, as well as high psychological resilience. • Ideally, you have initial administrative experience, possess good PC user skills, and can express yourself very well in German. Further language skills are an advantage. • You are a responsible and stable personality, are at least 25 years old, and have an unblemished record (no entries in the criminal register and in the debt enforcement register).
