The specialist department is responsible for the security police special supply of the city of Zürich. The specialist department for environmental and animal protection offenses in the Wasserschutzpolizei commissariat deals comprehensively with the environment and with animals and, in addition to preventive and advisory activities, ensures the professional processing of environmental and animal protection offenses as well as the management of oil incidents on navigable waters.
