Your contribution to our team

You advise railways, infrastructure operators, authorities, and industrial companies on issues related to safety, risk, and the further development of the railway system. In doing so, you lead and manage projects at the interface of infrastructure, technology, operations, and organization. You develop solution approaches, prepare decision-making bases, and accompany our customers from analysis through conception to implementation.

A focus of your activity lies in the development of quantitative and qualitative risk analyses, for example in the context of Automatic Train Operation (ATO). You support our customers from risk analysis and safety assessment through the derivation of safety requirements to the preparation and technical accompaniment of implementation. In addition, you handle further issues in different fields of the railway industry in which risk-oriented solutions are sought, in safety management, in measures planning, and in the safe introduction of new automation and digitalization solutions in railway operations.

Your competencies

• University degree in engineering or natural sciences (ETH, Uni, Fachhochschule)
• Professional experience in the railway industry, ideally in an engineering, consulting, or railway company
• Experience in the management and processing of demanding projects
• Strong analytical skills and enjoyment of conceptual thinking and working
• Sound knowledge of the railway system as well as the connections between technology, operations, safety, and organization
• Experience with risk analyses, risk assessments, or safety assessments of technical systems
• Experience with the RAMS process and the application of EN 50126
• Experience with approval procedures and the creation of safety proofs for technical railway systems is an advantage
• Knowledge in the area of control and protection technology, ETCS, and ATO is an advantage
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills are a must. French skills are an advantage
