Supervisor / Caretaker, temporary 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.    The Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Pöschwies is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, with 399 places, is the largest closed JVA in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, according to its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public.   To support our team, we are looking for a committed, responsible, and motivated personality, starting immediately or by arrangement. You can expect a varied and meaningful task as a Supervisor / Caretaker in the entry group (EG) of the security-oriented special detention. The position is temporary for seven months. This is your field of activity ### • You care for, engage, and accompany incarcerated persons within the daily structures and are their contact person for concerns • You ensure an orderly daily routine, ensure compliance with and enforcement of security and service regulations, and recognize and manage critical situations • You participate in and accompany the leisure and group activities of the incarcerated persons • You undertake administrative work such as writing reports, documenting events, keeping the daily journal, and other administrative tasks This is what you bring with you ### • You have a completed vocational apprenticeship with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ), a (specialist) maturity, a specialized middle school certificate, or an equivalent qualification. Ideally, you already have professional experience in a similar care function • You have very good oral and written German skills.
