In this role, you will process complex claims in General Liability - for example, business and private liability - as well as in various property insurance branches. You accompany the cases from the initial investigation to completion, assess coverage and liability, and conduct negotiations with all parties involved. In doing so, you are regularly on the move in the Zürich region, inspecting accident sites and clarifying facts directly on site. What you do * You independently process complex claims in property and general liability insurance - from the claim report to completion. * You clarify facts with policyholders, claimants, experts, lawyers, and insurance companies and inspect accident sites in the Zürich region. * You assess insurance coverage, liability, and the extent of the loss, document your investigations in a comprehensible manner, and make decisions within your competencies. * You conduct negotiations with all involved parties, coordinate the necessary measures, and initiate claim payments. * You check possibilities for recourse, work with internal specialist departments and external partners, and ensure clear, timely communication. What you bring * You have training in the insurance industry; a professional certificate in insurance or a degree from a Higher Technical College in insurance is an advantage. * You have at least five years of professional experience in processing claims, ideally in property and/or general liability insurance. * You bring sound knowledge in assessing coverage and liability as well as experience in dealing with complex claims. * You negotiate confidently, appear convincingly even in demanding situations, and find pragmatic as well as customer-oriented solutions. * You work independently, structured, and reliably, communicate very well in German and have good MS Office skills; further language skills are an advantage.
