Head of Vocational School Department

Your tasks ###

• Leadership of the Vocational School Department
• Promotion and development of employees and teachers
• Ensuring school operations
• Coordination of the individual subject areas
• Responsibility for the quality management of the department
• Participation in the school management
• Providing instruction in the vocational school

Your profile ###

Agile. Creative. Courageous. Innovative. Conscious. Competence-oriented.

• Degree from a professional college/university or an equivalent education
• Diploma as a vocational school teacher (PHZH/EHB)
• Completed training or further education in the field of school management, vocational education management

or in a comparable field; if not yet present, willingness to complete these

• Integrating and cooperative personality with proven leadership experience
• Several years of professional as well as ideally leadership experience in a professional environment relevant to our

professions (especially logistics, transport, recycling or
rail transport) and/or experience in vocational development or in organizations of the
working world (OdA) as well as a sound understanding of in-company vocational training

• Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with training companies and organizations of the

working world as well as to consistently align training with the requirements of
professional practice

• Several years of teaching experience at a vocational school
• Organizational talent as well as a structured, solution-oriented and responsible

way of working

• Winning personality with high social, communication, and presentation competence as well as

a pronounced ability for teamwork and conflict management

• Confident handling of Microsoft 365 applications
• Enthusiasm for vocational training and lifelong learning

Workplace
The BZLT building in Dietikon is being completely renovated, therefore until July 2027 the workplace is at Lagerstrasse 55, directly behind the main station, in Zürich.
