Job description _____ Business Economist Large Cases (m/f; 80% - 100%) Zurich / Permanent employment / hybrid The Swiss National Bank (SNB) establishes the statistics of Switzerland's international economic relations (balance of payments, direct investment, and external position). To do this, it collects and analyzes data from multinational companies. To strengthen our Large Case Management team, we are looking for a motivated business economist.   Your mission ##   • Data analysis and case processing • Control, plausibility verification, and analysis of data on the real and financial economic relations of multinational companies with foreign countries (SNB reporting) • Analysis of complex cases and development of statistical accounting solutions for international economic relations statistics • Guarantee of data quality and execution of consistency tests with other economic statistics Advice and cooperation with companies • Advising companies on the statistical representation of demanding cases and operations from the balance sheet and income statement • Supporting companies to improve the quality of SNB reporting data • Development and management of trusting relationships with company contact persons, including visiting them Project work and conceptual approach • Participation in the development of surveys, processes, and tools as well as the systematic management of large multinational corporate groups • Handling conceptual issues concerning both financial accounting, national accounting, and statistics Your profile ##   • Master's in business economics or comparable training • Several years of professional experience or additional qualification in the fields of "accounting", "controlling", "corporate finance" or "audit", ideally in an international context • Preferably, knowledge of international accounting standards and sectors (e.g. pharma, commodities trading or financial and insurance services) • Analytical thinking and the willingness to structure and present complex economic facts in a comprehensible manner • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration with companies and specialists in economics and business economics • Very good knowledge of German and English and good knowledge of French Our offer ### We offer you a varied activity serving the general interest of Switzerland and significantly supporting the economy, the population, and the stability of the financial system.
