January 2027 or by arrangement, an Event Technician with focus on Lighting, 80% (f,m,d) — Your tasks Technical advice for the organizers of the DDK/ZHdK and external parties Planning, implementation, monitoring & control of the lighting & stage technology requirements of our students and lecturers during modules, productions as well as for guest performances, both in a team and independently for production-related support and organization. Setup and dismantling of lighting technology for productions, modules, as well as support of the stage technology in the setup of stage technology facilities & stage sets Supervision and operation of the lighting equipment Ensuring the lighting technology processes in the assigned area of responsibility during rehearsal and performance operations Taking over infrastructural preparatory and transport work in the area of productions, warehousing, guest performances light/stage Carrying out maintenance and repair tasks on the lighting system Taking over electrotechnical installation work in the decoration area Creation of piece-related documentation in the lighting technology area Your profile For this position, you bring a completed vocational training as an Event Technician EFZ or a comparable training. An advantage is a completed vocational training as an electrical fitter or electromechanical engineer. We wish for you to bring some theater experience. In addition, we welcome your specialist competence in the programming of light controls. Good prior knowledge of the ETC Gio console is a great advantage. Very good knowledge of common software and hardware components completes your profile. Knowledge of the functioning of spotlights, moving lights and LED technology is an advantage. This versatile activity requires a readiness for flexible working hours with shift and weekend assignments. You work closely with the other stage-related departments as well as with the students and take on both technical as well as technical-artistic tasks and are in direct contact with the artistic persons responsible.
