Through their work in the five social centers, the Social Services ensure that people in the City of Zurich can rely on effective basic social services. For our Sozialzentrum Selnau, we are looking for a motivated specialist as of 01 September 2026 or by arrangement. Social Worker Family Profile ## 60 % Tasks • You support and advise families in financial and social difficulties. • You work polyvalently: You issue economic social assistance, advise families in difficult situations, and carry out civil law child protection mandates. Variety is ensured. • You investigate threats to child welfare on behalf of the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde. • You document your work traceably in a case management system. • You are administratively supported by clerks, can draw on the knowledge of internal specialist departments, and work closely with your colleagues in the team. Profile • University of Applied Sciences degree in Social Work mandatory • Professional experience in the orientation of economic social assistance and/or in child and youth welfare, corresponding further training is a plus • Commercial flair and good knowledge of financial topics • Joy in working with people and various family constellations and good handling of conflicting expectations • Rapid grasping of complex situations and the ability to take on different roles in counseling and care We offer A versatile, varied activity at an attractive location in Zurich with the option for flexible working models.
