a Fundraising Specialist 80-100 %

The Stiftung für das Tier im Recht (TIR) is a non-profit organization that has been fighting for better animal protection for 30 years and specializes in legal issues surrounding animals. The main goal of TIR lies in the continuous improvement of the human-animal relationship in law, ethics, and society. In doing so, it advocates for all animals, regardless of whether they are domestic, farm, laboratory, sport, or wild animals. Detailed information about our work can be found at tierimrecht.org.

Your tasks:

You will take on the main responsibility for all fundraising activities in our organization. You will work closely in a hub function with the management. You are responsible for the following tasks:

• Responsibility for the development, implementation, and further development of the fundraising strategy and measures
• Support of the management in all fundraising matters
• Maintenance and expansion of relationships with foundations, patrons, and institutional partners
• Public Fundraising: annual planning, writing donation letters, selection, control, and further development
• Expansion of foundation fundraising: acquisition and support of institutional donors, writing project applications
• Expansion of major donor fundraising: acquisition and support of major donors
• Responsibility and contact person for the CRM (OM)
• Maintenance of the donor database, creation of statistics, reportings, and annual reports
• Close cooperation with the communications department
• Organization and implementation of patron events and other events
• Various administrative activities: thank-you letters, returns, patron service, shipments
• General administrative tasks as well as support for the team

What you should bring with you:

• Completed education (university/university of applied sciences degree) in the field of Marketing / Business Administration / Project Management and further training in fundraising
• Professional experience in the field of fundraising is an advantage
• Confident handling of CRM (experience with OM is an advantage)
• Very good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Stylish German in spoken and written form as well as very good editorial skills
• Confident language skills in English, French skills are an advantage
• Structured and exact way of working
• Independent, networked thinking and acting
• Internal and external communication and cooperation skills
• Flexibility, commitment, personal responsibility, high resilience, and team spirit
• Strong interest in the topic of animal protection/animal protection law and in contributing to an NPO
