Jurist*in public personnel law, 80-100 %

The Rechtsdienst HRZ department - the interface of law, politics and Human Resources - is looking for an experienced person as a Jurist*in as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You advise city-internal positions - such as project managers, HR managers as well as Jurist*innen of the city administration - in all legal matters relating to the employment relationship and assist in ensuring the uniform application of the personnel law requirements of the Stadt Zürich.
• You participate in legislation and further develop the personnel law foundations of the Stadt Zürich, draft and edit motions to the Stadtrat, statements, contracts, reports as well as presentations and process political motions and questions from parliamentary commissions.
• You develop continuing education modules and teach in internal continuing education offerings.

Profile ##

• Completed legal studies (MLaw or lic. iur.), preferably with an attorney patent
• Professional experience, preferably in public administration and ideally in-depth knowledge of public personnel law, labor law and related legal areas as well as general administrative law
• Interest in political issues and adept handling of various stakeholder groups
• Excellent linguistic skills in German
• Decisive, service- and action-oriented personality
