TPA with management responsibility Zurich

As a Veterinary Assistant (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin / Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ), you will combine operative sterile supply processing for small and large animal medicine with professional management responsibility in Zurich. Around 70 % of your activities involve the processing, care, and sterilization of instruments and materials; around 30 % involve the organization, coordination, and professional leadership of the area. The permanent position is to be filled as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement with a workload of 80 to 100 %.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• Professional cleaning, processing, care, and sterilization of instruments and materials from surgical and nursing areas
• Operation and monitoring of cleaning and sterilization devices according to applicable hygiene and quality specifications
• Carrying out functional checks as well as recognizing and reporting damaged instruments
• Organization of the material flow as well as management of consumables and orders
• Professional leadership and coordination of sterilization for small and large animals
• Planning of daily processes as well as further development of processes in cooperation with surgical and nursing areas

What you bring with you

• Completed training as Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin or Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ
• Completed training or further education in the field of sterilization or sterile supply processing is an advantage
• Experience with hygiene, quality, and safety standards in instrument processing
• Interest in organizational tasks and ideally initial leadership experience
• Confident handling of common PC applications
• Independent, exact, and structured way of working
