Senior Physician (w/m/d) Internal Medicine in the inpatient sector in the Clinic of Gastroenterology and Hepatology 80-100% immediately or by arrangement Your main tasks Professional and comprehensive care of the patients and their relatives on our gastroenterological and hepatological inpatient ward Supervision and teaching of resident physicians in training for General Internal Medicine Your profile Completed training as a specialist in General Internal Medicine Previous experience as a senior physician in inpatient General Internal Medicine within Switzerland is an advantage Holder of certificates of competence in Sonography/POCUS or about to obtain them German language skills at level C1 are required Doctorate of Dr. med. On the inpatient ward of the Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Universitätsspital Zürich, 30 inpatient patients are usually treated. We are available for consultation for the care of our patients in the Intermediate Care Stations and in the intensive care units. For this task, we have provided 2 management positions. The management of Inpatient Gastroenterology is the responsibility of Frau PD Dr. med. Sena Blümel. For the further training of our resident physicians in General Internal Medicine, we have the training authorization of category D. Our inpatient patient care covers the complete field of gastroenterology and hepatology. Among others, we treat patients with advanced liver diseases up to liver transplantation; with complex pancreato-biliary diseases; with upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding; with severe forms of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and motility disorders; as well as patients for follow-up monitoring after complex endoscopic procedures. This results in close interdisciplinary cooperation with the specialist departments of surgery, radiology, anesthesia and intensive care medicine.
