The Finanzdepartement of the Stadt Zürich controls -- as a cross-cutting organization -- the service departments Organisation und Informatik, Finanzverwaltung, Steueramt, Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich and Human Resources Management. Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich (LSZ) represents the city as owner, investor and manager of the municipal buildings rented to third parties, as well as as owner's representative of the municipal land reserves. Due to the resignation of the Director as of summer 2027, we are looking for a successor. Director of Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich, 80 - 100% Your tasks * Strategic and operational leadership of Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich as well as its organizational, business, and digital development. * Overall responsibility for a diverse real estate portfolio with over 10'000 apartments and extensive land reserves. * Further development of municipal land, housing, and real estate policy to promote affordable housing, social mixing, and sustainable portfolio development. * Initiation and control of complex material and real estate transactions as well as preparation of strategic decision-making bases for Finanzdepartement, Stadtrat, Gemeinderat and eligible voters. * Leadership of the executive management and the directly subordinate employees as well as overall responsibility for around 290 employees; active participation in cross-departmental planning and steering bodies.
