Senior DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes

• IT - Software Engineering • Zürich • Contracting • Full-time • 01.09.2026 - 31.05.2027 • DevOps, Container-orchestration, CNCF, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, kafka Your tasks: • End-to-end Product Ownership for the managed Kubernetes platform from vision and strategy through the roadmap to operation and continuous optimization • Definition, prioritization and maintenance of the product backlog in close cooperation with the DevOps team and the product management • Coordination with internal stakeholders, B2B customers as well as other product owners to ensure high customer benefit and aligned product development • Ensuring a high service quality with regard to stability, performance, security and automation of the platform • Optimization of the interaction between technology, business requirements and operational operation • Technical collaboration and sparring with the engineering team on architecture and technology decisions • Planning and coordination of releases, change management processes as well as customer communication   Your profile: • Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Service Owner or in a comparable role in a technical environment • Sound knowledge of Kubernetes as well as cloud, container and GitOps technologies • Experience with agile methods and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new product and technology contexts and to take on responsibility early on • Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic hands-on mentality • Ability to successfully merge technical and functional requirements • Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills • High degree of personal responsibility, strength in prioritization and decision-making ability • Nice to have: Experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on container orchestration and platform operation, knowledge of CNCF tools such as ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, Cilium, Velero or Kyverno, experience with managed services such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL or Kafka • Professional experience in service provider, telco or managed service environments. • Fluent German and English skills
