School Assistant in the childcare of Schule Kügeliloo, 40 %

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a school assistant in the Betreuung Maienstrasse and Wehntalerstrasse by arrangement

Tasks ##

• Accompanying and providing simpler guidance to groups and/or individual students in everyday childcare
• Co-shaping positive social and learning-promoting relationships with and between the students
• Simple administrative and organizational work at the group level (e.g., absence list)
• Maintenance, tidying up and providing materials (e.g., toys etc.) as well as domestic tasks, including cleaning of the kitchen and preparing meals in compliance with catering guidelines, safety and hygiene regulations
• You perform a workload of 40% on 4-5 days per week, additionally you work approx. 2-3 weeks per year in holiday childcare
• You work with primary school children (up to 6th grade) and accompany them in regular operations, in holiday childcare as well as in childcare on non-school days

Profile ##

• Good German skills (level at least B2, level C1 is an advantage) and basic PC user knowledge (e.g. Word, Outlook)
• Experience in dealing with children and adolescents, patience and resilience
• Good communication skills, openness to new and surprising situations, confident appearance
• Flexibility as well as very good teamwork and communication skills
• Professional experience in family-complementary childcare is an advantage

About us ##

We are a large school community in Zürich-Nord with 19 schools. We derive our pedagogical stance from the concept of New Authority and thus meet the daily challenges in everyday school life together and effectively.
In the Betreuung Maienstrasse and Wehntalerstrasse, up to 140 students of lower and middle school age are catered for and supervised daily. The childcare facilities are open from Monday to Friday, 12.00 - 18.00. During school holidays, you work in the Betreuung Maienstrasse.
