For the Juchhof 3 field sports facility opening in autumn 2027, along with the associated existing field sports facilities Juchhof 1 and Juchhof 2, we are looking for an Operations Manager as of 1 February 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks

• You are responsible for the safe and economical operation of the field sports facilities Juchhof 1 and Juchhof 2 as well as Juchhof 3.
• Together with a deputy, you will manage the three facilities with a team of around 16 employees, plan their work assignments, and promote their professional and personal development.
• You will accompany the new construction Juchhof 3, ensure the operational readiness of all buildings, facilities, machines, and equipment, coordinate external service providers, and ensure compliance with occupational safety, health protection, and fire protection.
• You will control and optimize operational processes and resource use, further develop the offering, and organize the training and event operations of around 150 teams.
• You will represent the field sports facilities internally and externally, support events and projects, and maintain contact with clubs, schools, and other user groups.
• You embody a strong service and host culture, take care of customer concerns, and actively contribute to high customer satisfaction.

Profile

• Technical or manual basic training (EFZ) as well as leadership training and leadership experience, ideally supplemented by business administration training or further education in Facility Management, Sport Management, or a related field (HF/FH)
• Several years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and management of sports or leisure facilities, ideally with knowledge in the care of natural and artificial grass as well as in the accompaniment of construction projects or commissioning
• Strong communication skills and a confident appearance, high IT affinity, sound knowledge of relevant safety, hygiene, and operational standards, as well as driver's license Cat. B, preferably with trailer test
• Service-oriented and resilient personality with a pragmatic, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial way of thinking and working
• Willingness to work irregular hours as well as evening and weekend shifts

It is the competence center for sports promotion and provides the sports-enthusiastic population and clubs with sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools. The organization of compulsory swimming lessons as well as voluntary school sports are also among the core tasks of the Sportamt.
