Type of work In this versatile and varied role, you will undertake the installation, operation, and maintenance of a modern network infrastructure. You ensure that network environments – from office buildings to datacenters to laboratory and training rooms – function reliably. Your tasks include the installation and cabling of network components (copper/fiber optic), work in datacenters, support with construction and infrastructure projects, warehouse and material management, as well as on-site support. In addition, you coordinate maintenance work and actively participate in infrastructure projects such as datacenter moves or switch and fiber optic lifecycle projects. Requirement profile To be successful in this position, you have completed basic training as an electrician EFZ with further training towards telematics or a comparable career path. You bring sound knowledge of UKV standards, fiber optic and copper cabling, as well as 19-inch installation technology. Ideally, you have experience with measurement techniques for fiber optic, copper, and WLAN, as well as basic knowledge of the most important network protocols and WLAN standards. You work independently, in a structured and quality-conscious manner, bring project management experience, and are prepared to regularly undertake on-site assignments as well as planned maintenance windows in the evenings or on weekends.
