Due to retirement, we are looking for a committed personality for the leadership of the Social Work specialist team for our specialist department Zürich im Alter as of 1 March 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You lead the team of social workers - at three locations - both professionally and personally.
• You ensure a high-quality and needs-oriented service in social counseling.
• You ensure the continuous development of the target group- and client-oriented information and counseling services (contact point for all age-related questions).
• You play a decisive role in shaping the strategic direction of the Fachstelle and support projects of the Altersstrategie 2035.
• You actively network with partner organizations in the elderly sector and represent the Fachstelle in specialist groups, projects, and in public relations.

Profile ##

• University of Applied Sciences degree (Bachelor or Master) in Social Work or comparable level of education
• Sound knowledge in the field of aging and health as well as experience in community work
• Several years of leadership experience
• Understanding of political framework conditions and municipal structures
• Engaging and communicative personality with a confident appearance and a high degree of independence and initiative

The Stadt Zürich offers older residents a wide range of services in various areas of life. The Fachstelle Zürich im Alter operates contact points for all questions regarding aging in Oerlikon/Seebach, Wipkingen, and im Klus Park. Information and counseling, preventive health counseling with home visits, registration for municipal elderly housing offers, support in finding accommodation, and an online platform with services for old age are among the offerings of the Fachstelle.
