Do you want to lead an experienced team, ensure the quality of audit work, and actively help shape its further development?

The municipal audit independently examines the approximately 160 municipal tax offices in the Canton of Zürich based on legal requirements. The focus is on the various areas of state taxes as well as the interfaces to the cantonal tax office. In this way, we support the cantonal tax office in its supervisory responsibility and make an important contribution to quality assurance and the further development of tax processes in the Canton of Zürich.

Your tasks – you lead, shape, and move things:

• You lead and develop your team: You accompany a team of 3–5 experienced auditors, strengthen their individual skills, and create an environment in which cooperation, personal responsibility, and further development are actively lived.
• You are responsible for risk analyses and audit planning: You develop, maintain, and implement the risk analyses as well as the audit and examination plan.
• You ensure quality: You ensure that the audits in the areas of assessment, registers, finance, and taxation are carried out carefully, uniformly, and professionally correctly.
• You coordinate the audit work: You ensure that quality, deadline, and quantity specifications are met, keep an overview of the audit progress, and ensure reliable controlling and reporting.
• You stay close to practice: You conduct selected audits on-site at the municipal tax offices themselves and contribute your professional expertise and experience directly.
• You provide advisory support to the municipal tax offices: You answer questions, discuss findings, and explain technical contexts.

Your profile – what you bring with you:

• You bring experience: You have sound professional experience in the tax, accounting, or auditing environment – for example, as a mandate leader in auditing, as a fiduciary, or a tax advisor.
• You want to advance professionally: You have advanced training in one of the mentioned areas or a business administration university degree and are ready to continuously develop your knowledge.
• You support and promote your team: You enjoy sharing your knowledge, have an open ear for technical questions, and support your employees in developing themselves and achieving the set goals together.
• You appear confident and represent your opinion sovereignly: You work precisely, think critically, and persist even with complex issues. In demanding situations, you communicate clearly, argue objectively, and do not let yourself be easily unsettled.
• You communicate to the point: You express yourself very well in German, both orally and in writing, and can also convey complex matters understandably.
• You like being on the go: You bring a high degree of flexibility and are happy to work on-site directly at the municipal tax offices in the Canton of Zürich for several days at a time.
