Learn more about UZH as an employer! ### Tasks The group's research is based, among other things, on induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) models for genetically determined diseases of the ciliopathy group. These are inherited diseases which lead to developmental disorders, malformations and progressive kidney or retinal disease in humans. In order to understand the pathogenesis of these diseases, we differentiate iPSCs into 2D and 3D neuronal models and kidney organoids. The activity includes supporting the researchers in cell culture as well as the general organization of the molecular biology laboratory and the cell culture room. This also includes ordering reagents and the preparation of stock solutions, cloning etc. This is initially a fixed-term project-related employment (annual contracts). Profile We wish for a responsible, enthusiastic, flexible, social and technically competent specialist with completed training as a Laboratory Technician or a Master's degree in biology or a related discipline. You have experience in cell culture (ideally stem cell culture) and molecular biology. You carry out molecular biological techniques efficiently and precisely and enjoy developing, introducing and learning new methods. You are ready for interdisciplinary cooperation with various research groups. A flair for organizational tasks is an advantage.
