Kanton Zürich Bildungsdirektion Mittelschul- und Berufsbildungsamt Scientific Assistant Projects Secondary Schools 80% ANALYTICAL, STRONG ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS AND SERVICE-ORIENTED The Mittelschul- und Berufsbildungsamt is the competence and service center for vocational training, secondary schools, higher vocational education and continuing education in the Canton of Zürich. The Mittelschulen department manages all matters concerning secondary schools. For the projects <<Weiterentwicklung der Gymnasien im Kanton Zürich (WegZH)>> and <<Untergymnasium-Lehrpläne>> as well as for further tasks, we are looking for a scientific assistant (80%) starting immediately or by arrangement. The position is fixed-term until 30 September 2030. Your area of responsibility Are you interested in educational issues and do you quickly familiarize yourself with new topics? In this role, you will support the project and sub-project management of the WegZH and UG-Lehrpläne projects in content-related, organizational and coordinative project work. You will prepare meetings and events, accompany their implementation, create presentations and secure results. Furthermore, you will work on technical and conceptual topics and independently take over clearly defined work packages, for example in the evaluation of consultations, the development of educational policy decision-making bases or the development of documents for school implementation. You structure complex issues, prepare information appropriately for the target group and coordinate cooperation with schools, internal specialist departments and other project participants. In doing so, you keep an eye on the next project steps and contribute to goal-oriented implementation. You also accompany the technical implementation of new specifications and coordinate the corresponding work with the responsible IT specialist departments. Your profile You have a university Master's degree and have knowledge of the Swiss education system, especially secondary level II. Experience in public administration, the education sector or in project management is an advantage. You work conceptually and analytically, quickly grasp complex relationships and know how to prepare them in a structured manner. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently and in a structured manner and set priorities even with several parallel topics. You communicate appropriately for the target group, enjoy working in a team and move confidently in exchange with different stakeholders. In doing so, you combine professional diligence with a strong implementation orientation. A flair for technical issues complements your profile. You understand your activity as a service for the schools, the project team and the Bildungsdirektion.
