The Staatsarchiv des Kantons Zürich, with its archival holdings from 1150 years, is the central archive of the Canton of Zürich and its historical legal predecessors. It preserves original documents of the Cantonal Council, the Government, the cantonal central and district administration, as well as the cantonal courts, notary offices and independent public-law institutions and makes them accessible to the public.

We are looking for an engaged personality as Technical Head of Facilities Management and Safety Officer 100% starting 1 May 2027 or by arrangement.

Your tasks ###

• Planning, coordination and execution of maintenance work on technical systems as well as ensuring their proper operation, external contacts
• Organisation and coordination of caretaker work as well as participation in daily operational business (maintenance and repair work)
• Support and monitoring of security systems (burglary, fire, water etc.)
• Performing the task as Safety Officer as well as conducting safety training
• Creating and updating security-relevant instructions and directives

Your profile ###

• Completed vocational training with EFZ, preferably in the field of building technology (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation, electrical engineering) or in a related technical or manual profession
• Further training as a caretaker with a federal certificate of proficiency or a comparable qualification in the field of caretaker services or Facility Management
• Several years of sound professional experience in a comparable function
• Driving license category B; forklift license as well as training as a Safety Officer are an advantage
• Team-oriented, flexible and responsible personality with strong organizational skills
• Independent, reliable and solution-oriented way of working, good user knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
