Caretaker

The Rohn-Salvisberg-Stiftung has been fulfilling residential dreams in old age for half a century. Currently, we rent out around 140 non-profit senior apartments in Bülach, Küsnacht and Zürich-Witikon. Our tenants are able to organize their lives independently and lead them with personal responsibility.

In our residential complexes, a cafeteria and freely available common rooms enable social gatherings and offer ideal opportunities for independent activities by the tenants.

Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for our residential complex in Zürich-Witikon with 70 apartments

a:n Caretaker 80 - 100 %.

You maintain and care for the property, the outdoor area and the apartments and enable our tenants to live an independent life through your competent support. Additionally, you look after other properties from our portfolio.

Your tasks include

• technical and infrastructural support of the property
• repairs within your professional area of competence
• cleaning of the property and care of the outdoor area incl. winter service, regular cleaning of the goat stable as well as coordination of gardening work
• apartment inspections and handovers in cooperation with the Managing Director incl. organization of repairs and, if necessary, cleaning work
• support for the cafeteria team
• invoice control and administration of caretaker services
• participation in staff meetings and internal training
• accompaniment of excursions and festive events with our tenants as required
• deputy duties in the other residential complexes during holiday absences

We wish for a team-oriented and empathetic personality with life experience and interest in social issues as well as joy in interacting with older people. You appreciate dividing your diverse area of responsibility independently and setting priorities and possess a healthy dose of humor.

As a direct contact person for the tenants, you always have an open ear for their concerns and questions, take the necessary time to advise them competently or to refer them to the right place within the foundation.

You have a caretaker and/or manual training or several years of professional experience in this field, a driving license Cat. B, PC user knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel) and very good German language skills.
