Traction Test Engineer

You test and validate electric drive systems for rail vehicles in a modern test center in Zürich.

Tasks

• Test and validate traction and auxiliary supply converters
• Set up and commission electric drivetrains as well as test bench and laboratory environments
• Perform electrical, thermal, functional and performance tests
• Analyze measurement results and identify causes of errors
• Qualify and evaluate power semiconductors such as IGBT and SiC technologies
• Take responsibility for electrical setup and safe execution of tests
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and test methods

Profile

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, software engineering or comparable
• Practical experience in the electrotechnical environment
• Completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, automation or mechatronics is an advantage
• Interest in power electronics and new semiconductor technologies
• Independent way of working and high sense of responsibility
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Very good German skills, good English skills are an advantage
