Job Description ## The ideal apprenticeship for young adults with a gift for animals and an interest in research! In this varied apprenticeship, you will take care of the following activities: • Care, maintenance, and breeding of laboratory animals, including changing cages, food, and water as well as daily health monitoring • Organization and implementation of internal and external animal transport, including checking delivery and hygiene documents • Collection of samples (blood, feces, urine, tissues) as well as performing applications as part of experiments • Ensuring animal welfare in collaboration with animal protection and the veterinary service • Documentation of laboratory animals, work performed, and any declarations of illness in accordance with animal protection guidelines The training lasts 3 years and takes place mainly on the ETH Hönggerberg campus as well as in a partner company at the Irchel site. Profile ## You are skillful with animals and have the necessary sensitivity for their care and housing. Additionally, you have a good sense of observation, are attentive, patient, reliable, and responsible. You are also physically resilient and possess motor dexterity.
