Technical Lead for IoT Gateway as a Service

In Zürich, in the Design and Delivery area, as Technical Lead Gateway as a Service, you will ensure the secure, reliable, and scalable operation of our managed gateway service via preconfigured industrial hardware, Swisscom IoT Connectivity, and the Gateway Management Portal, functionally lead a team of three specialists, and drive further development. Together with Product Management, Sales, Customer Solutions, suppliers, and operational partners, you will work across the entire process from presales and architecture to implementation, lifecycle, support, and escalations, thereby enabling the successful deployment of networked solutions.

• Functional leadership of three specialists, including skill development, resource planning, and clear goals
• Technical responsibility for gateway architectures and the management portal, as well as delivery across the entire process
• Defining quality standards and operational guidelines, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement
• Managing suppliers, representing technical interests, and convincing customers in presales and demos
• Coordinating internal and customer inquiries, commitments, costs, and priorities in close cooperation with Product Management

Your Skills

• Bachelor (Uni/FH) in Computer Science or a comparable degree, five to eight years of experience in networked solutions, technical delivery, or IoT
• Very good networking knowledge and practical experience in cybersecurity, secure design, and operation of network architectures; Cisco CCNA is an advantage
• Experience with embedded hardware and embedded systems in operational environments as well as process-oriented quality improvement
• Practice in customer-oriented roles, collaboration with suppliers, and commercial activities such as offers and tenders
• You lead by example, develop the team further, and promote an open, learning-oriented culture
• Analytical and good at making judgments, you communicate openly, reliably, and solution-oriented - even under pressure
• Structured, independent way of working with clear documentation and ownership over your topics
• Very good German and very good English, French is an advantage
