Advisor and Coach for students with a focus on special study situations and Master students (m/f/d) # 80%, Zürich, fixed-term #### print Print The Advisory & Coaching Center (StS) of the Student Services department (StS), affiliated with the Rector of ETH Zürich, offers a wide range of advisory services and many different support offers for prospective students and students. We are looking for an advisor and coach in the group "Special study situations and Master students" to start immediately or by arrangement at an 80% workload. The position is fixed-term for one year. The group "Special study situations and Master students" provides advisory support to students in various special study situations such as studies and disability or chronic illness, studies and elite sports, etc. To this end, it works closely with internal and external specialist departments. In addition, it accompanies domestic and international Master students with events for onboarding as well as with workshops on cross-disciplinary competencies during their studies. Job Description ## • Conducting advisory interviews with prospective students, Bachelor and Master students (German and English) in special study situations such as studies and disability, studying with a child, studies and elite sports, critical study situations (e.g., in the application process for exceptions such as compensation for disadvantages or deadline extensions; in crisis situations due to lack of deadline extension) • Conducting coaching and advisory interviews with Master students (German and English) on study-relevant and personal topics (e.g., intercultural challenges, study/learning planning, self-management, stress management, dealing with exam failure) • Participation in onboarding events and workshops on cross-disciplinary competencies as well as intercultural topics • Administrative tasks such as: correspondence, case management (file management), reporting and process documentation Profile ## • University degree (Master's degree), a degree in clinical psychology is an advantage • Further training in the field of counseling or coaching (CAS) with a focus on solution-oriented or systemic short-term coaching • Several years of professional experience in coaching/counseling/conversation management • Experience in moderating workshops and with presentations at events • Experience in the education sector is an advantage • Knowledge of forms of disability and chronic illnesses, if possible experience in working with the SVA (IV) • German language skills at native speaker level as well as very good English skills (C1 level in speaking and writing) • Good MS Office skills Workplace ## Workplace ## We offer ## • Meaningful activity with a direct influence on the development of young people • A supportive team and interdisciplinary cooperation • Intervision and internal training • Numerous benefits await you, such as public transport subscriptions and car sharing, a wide range of sports offered by ASVZ, childcare, and attractive pension benefits chevron_right Working, teaching and researching at ETH Zürich Diversity and sustainability are important to us ## In line with our values, ETH Zürich supports an inclusive culture.
