The Schauspielhaus Zürich is one of the most important cultural institutions in Switzerland and in the German-speaking-speaking area. Over 300 employees ensure the smooth implementation of productions on and behind the stage at the Pfauen and Schiffbau venues. The Schauspielhaus decisively pursues a cross-genre, transdisciplinary, and also integrative approach regarding age groups through a sustainable program. From the end of August to the end of December 2026, we are looking for a male-identified person for a project-related collaboration. We are looking for a performer with the following characteristics: • Completed professional acting training • Several years of stage experience at institutional theater • Presence and textual security, experience with solo work and piece development • male • Playing age between 40 and 45 years • Language: accent-free German, stage German, very good understanding of Swiss German • Skills relevant to the role: training in pedagogy or several years of experience as a primary school teacher, clowning, singing (baritone or bass) and guitar • Resident in Zürich Tasks: • Rehearsal work in the ensemble (text and scene development) • Participation in several performance blocks and revivals, readiness for guest performances also outside of Switzerland.
