Network Technician 80–100%

On behalf of our client, a leading company in the education sector with modern ICT infrastructure in the Zurich area, we are looking for a Network Technician 80–100% # immediately or by arrangement. In this versatile and varied role, you will take over the installation, operation, and maintenance of a modern network infrastructure. You ensure that network environments – from office buildings to datacenters to laboratory and training rooms – function reliably. Your tasks include the installation and cabling of network components (copper/fiber optic), working in datacenters, supporting construction and infrastructure projects, warehouse and material management, as well as on-site support. Additionally, you coordinate maintenance work and actively participate in infrastructure projects such as datacenter moves or switch and fiber optic lifecycle projects. To be successful in this position, you have completed basic training as an Electrical Installer EFZ with further training towards telematics or a comparable background. You bring sound knowledge of UKV standards, fiber optic and copper cabling, as well as 19-inch installation technology. Ideally, you have experience with measurement techniques for fiber optic, copper, and WLAN, as well as basic knowledge of the most important network protocols and WLAN standards. You work independently, structured, and quality-conscious, bring project management experience, and are prepared to regularly carry out on-site assignments as well as planned maintenance windows in the evenings or on weekends.
