The assessment center is an important actor for the housing and homelessness care system as well as all external stakeholders. Together with registration and the secretariat, the assessment center serves clients, legal guardians, and social workers of the Stadt Zürich as the first point of contact for future placements in the services of the Wohnen und Obdach business unit. For our small team of specialists, we are looking for an experienced personality to strengthen the team due to a maternity cover from November 2026 to May 2027. In view of a planned retirement in 2027, there is the possibility of subsequent permanent employment. Tasks ## • Rapid and structured assessment of the current situation as well as the individual support needs of individuals and families in the areas of housing, health, administration, and finance • Conducting intake and admission interviews as well as home visits for situational clarification if required • Recording, documenting, and administrative processing of client dossiers including financial assessments as well as writing reports and statements • Developing recommendations for allocation to a suitable housing and homelessness offer • Interdisciplinary cooperation with specialist agencies and institutions as well as assessment of risks regarding violence and threats • Participation in projects as well as in the further development of concepts and offers Profile ## • Bachelor in Social Work FH or psychiatric nursing professional with good administrative skills and proficient German • Experience in conducting assessments, intake or triage processes as well as in structured case administration is an advantage • High planning and organizational skills as well as an efficient, independent, and careful way of working • Resilient, decisive personality with a confident appearance and the ability to assess situations quickly • Enjoyment in working with people of different cultural backgrounds and in challenging life situations We offer ## A varied and responsible task in a current and socially important field of topics: In a city with scarce living space, you make a valuable contribution to enabling people to access suitable support offers.
