We are looking for reinforcement for the childcare facilities of Schule Allmend, effective immediately.

Tasks ##

As a Childcare Specialist, you will be responsible as a substitute at various locations 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) for the care of students of kindergarten or primary school age. Together with other social educators and childcare specialists, you will ensure smooth daily operations. Exact details regarding working hours can be discussed during a personal interview with the Head of Childcare.
Your tasks include:

• Together with your colleagues, you plan, organize, and lead the extracurricular childcare offering of the day school
• You plan and implement teaching-supportive as well as social and leisure pedagogical activities
• You take responsibility for the care of children with special needs in close cooperation with internal and external specialists and teachers
• You ensure appropriate parental work, taking into account different cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds into account
• You participate in school development. Schule Allmend is a young school and you will be actively involved in further development processes

Profile ##

• You enjoy working with children of kindergarten level / primary level
• You have a professional qualification as a Fachperson Betreuung or Kleinkindererzieher*in EFZ or equivalent
• You are flexible, resilient, and maintain an overview even with lively groups of children
• You enjoy working in a team and value cooperation with teachers and parents
• You are administratively proficient and quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility

About us ##

Schulkreis Uto is one of seven school districts in the city of Zürich and includes the city districts 2 and 3 with the quarters Leimbach, Wollishofen, Enge, Friesenberg, and Alt-Wiedikon.

The Schulhaus Allmend was completed shortly before the 2023 sports holidays and commenced operations after them. In the school building, Psychomotorik, Logopädie, Schulsozialarbeit, the MKZ, as well as the Heilpädagogische Schule have also moved into their own rooms. A sports hall, a gymnastics room, an outdoor sports field on the roof of the school building, a library, a large canteen, a multi-purpose room, and many side rooms complete the offering.

Schule Allmend includes a total of six kindergartens, two of them in the school building, four others in the quarter. Schule Allmend has been a day school since August 2023. The Hausdienst und Technik department, with its employees, ensures the maintenance of the school premises.
