Team Leader Technology and Data 80 - 100% # The Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zürich (www.vd.zh.ch) includes the Office for Employment, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, and administratively the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Director and the service center of the department.   As part of the General Secretariat, the Digital Transformation & Business Services department supports digital transformation within the Department of Economic Affairs. It provides central services, supports administrative units with expert knowledge, and represents the interests of the department in cross-departmental committees. For the leadership and further development of our interdisciplinary Technology and Data team, we are looking for an experienced leader starting immediately or by arrangement. You will take on a central role in the further development of our technological capabilities and support the offices as a competent business partner on digital and technological issues. Your tasks: ### • Leadership, coaching, and further development of an interdisciplinary, technically oriented team of five employees (including ICT, architecture, and data) • Responsibility for the further establishment and sustainable development of the team as well as the corresponding competencies and services • Active participation in the further development and stabilization of the newly organized Digital Transformation & Business Services department • Advising administrative units on technical, architectural, and data-related issues • Taking on the business partner role for two offices within the department • Planning and further development of ICT provision as well as co-shaping the technological direction • Management, leadership, and collaboration in projects with a focus on ICT and data • Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders as well as representing the department's interests in committees and projects Your profile: ### • Several years of experience in the direct personnel leadership and development of interdisciplinary teams of comparable size • Experience in the establishment and further development of teams, competencies, and structures • Education (FH/Uni) in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field of study • Broad technical generalist understanding across the subject areas of digitalization, ICT, architecture, and data, as well as the ability to assess technological contexts holistically • Convincing, target-group-oriented communication as well as a confident appearance towards different stakeholders • Ability to mediate between specialist departments, technology, and external partners and to develop viable solutions • Strong communication and leadership skills, networked thinking, as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented working style • Understanding of administrative structures as well as knowledge of public procurement is an advantage  We offer: ### A role with impact and scope for design in an exciting transformation environment.
