To further develop our private credit business, we are looking for an entrepreneurial leader capable of developing our direct lending activity within the German-speaking SME sector, identifying and investing in high-quality transactions in both sponsored and non-sponsored fields, and actively managing the existing portfolio.

In this key role, you will be responsible for the search for opportunities, the execution of transactions, portfolio development, as well as certain fundraising and investor relations activities.

Your responsibilities

• Research, due diligence, structuring and execution of direct lending transactions in the German-speaking SME sector
• Building a strong network with banks, private equity firms, mergers and acquisitions advisors, auditors and other sourcing partners
• Leading due diligence processes and developing and negotiating suitable financing structures
• Preparation and presentation of transactions to the Investment Committee
• Active management of the existing and future portfolio, including monitoring, reporting and supporting portfolio companies
• Supporting fundraising for senior loans, asset-backed loans and real estate debt via our own investor contacts, notably in Germany and Switzerland
• Contribution to first closings, complementary funds and institutional mandate solutions
• Maintaining and developing relationships with institutional advisors, fund of funds, selected global investors and placement agents
• Supporting the marketing of other Patrimonium products within the framework of existing and new investor relations

Your profile

• Degree in economics or law, or equivalent qualifications with a specialization in finance
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in private credit, direct lending or corporate banking
• Proven experience in transactions with medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries
• A strong personal network in sourcing and a good understanding of corporate finance
• Experience in structuring, negotiating and executing debt financing, as well as in portfolio management
• Contacts with institutional investors, advisors, fund of funds or placement agents would be an advantage
• Entrepreneurial personality with a high degree of initiative, strong negotiation skills and a marked focus on execution
• Native German and fluent business English; knowledge of French would be an asset
