Position: Partner & Head of Investment Funds Location: Zurich Working time: 100% full-time Objective The Partner & Head of Investment Funds is responsible for leading and developing the firm in the field of investment funds. This position combines high-level legal expertise with business acumen and strategic leadership skills. Tasks • Strategic legal advice for Swiss and international clients on all aspects of investment fund law • Leading the structuring, creation, and regulatory approval of various types of funds (e.g., Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, UCITS, AIF) • Supporting clients in the daily operations of funds, governance, and compliance matters • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating fund documents, including limited partnership agreements, asset management agreements, offering prospectuses, and subscription documents • Representing clients before supervisory authorities (e.g., FINMA) and, if necessary, before courts or in arbitration • Acquiring new mandates and strengthening the firm's position in the funds and asset management market • Maintaining and developing long-term client relationships through quality service and proactive engagement • Developing business development strategies, contributing to a thought leadership role (e.g., articles, webinars, events), and representing the firm at industry conferences • Leading and developing the investment fund team within the firm, supporting its strategic and operational development • Mentoring and coaching junior lawyers and associates, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing • Ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, billing targets, and operational objectives Requirements Education • Admission to the Swiss bar and first-class qualifications • Excellent academic results in law (Master/PhD) • Additional training in business law or financial law Professional Experience • At least 10 years of proven experience as a lawyer, preferably as a partner in a law firm, an audit firm, or in a leadership position in the legal department of a bank or an asset management company. • Confident style, good knowledge of English and German • Additional languages (e.g., French, Italian) are an asset Cognitive and Analytical Skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-oriented mindset • High integrity, professional credibility, and discretion • Result-oriented, proactive, and resilient • Charismatic and confident, capable of representing the firm at industry conferences and forums • Team spirit with an inclusive leadership style Leadership Skills • Established client network and ability to acquire new mandates (an existing client portfolio is a great advantage) • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build and develop • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of legal professionals • Experience in internal knowledge sharing, thought leadership, and promoting best practices What we offer partners Entrepreneurial spirit: Build and lead your practice - with full strategic autonomy.
