DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes

• IT - Software Engineering • Zürich • Contracting • Full-time • 01.09.2026 - 30.06.2027 • Kubernetes, Grafana Your tasks: • Operation, monitoring and continuous further development of the Kubernetes platform as well as the managed services running on it (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka) • Ensuring high availability, scalability and resilience through proactive monitoring, alerting and incident management • Execution and automation of Day-2 operations such as upgrades, patches, backup/restore and capacity management • Analysis and rectification of faults including root-cause analyses (RCA) in production-like environments • Construction, further development and operation of observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, logging/tracing) • Close cooperation with engineering teams to optimize operating processes, runbooks and automations • Participation in on-call service and ensuring stable 24/7 operation   Your profile: • Completed education in computer science (Uni/FH/HF/EFZ) or comparable qualification with several years of experience in IT operations • Very good knowledge of Kubernetes as well as in the operation of container-based platforms and services • Sound know-how in the area of observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch) as well as structured fault analysis • Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm) • Practice in CI/CD environments (GitLab, Git, Docker) • Strong Linux and system engineering knowledge in production-like environments • Experience in operating at least one of the following technologies: MongoDB, PostgreSQL or Kafka • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing infrastructures and to stabilize and optimize them sustainably • High resilience as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working - even in critical situations • Team player with an independent way of working and understanding of agile and lean working methods • Very good English skills and German skills
