Boiler Operator Waste Incineration Plant, 80-100 %

In this role, you will monitor the operation of our waste incineration plant and, using your know-how, make the right decisions in the event of any abnormalities. With your commitment, you will also contribute to achieving the climate goals of the city of Zürich, make an important contribution to a functioning circular economy, and take on responsibility in one of the largest, modern municipal service departments. Tasks ## • You control and monitor the demanding plant operation in 3-shift operation via a process control system (PLS), initiate measures in the event of deviations, and maintain a production journal. • You carry out inspection rounds and functional checks of individual plant areas, switch individual subsystems or entire plant parts on or off, perform plant isolations, and document your actions. • You are the first point of contact for information of any kind (alarms, malfunctions, events), handle these yourself or forward them, and request maintenance work using IH software. • You are responsible for the receipt of operating materials and for the loading of residues from the combustion process.
