Service Manager Museum Café, 90 %

For our Rietberg Café, we are looking for an innovative and service-oriented personality as of 1 February 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You will independently lead and organize the guest area, provide operational leadership to the service team, work yourself in service, at the counter and in sales, and serve as the contact person for our guests.
• You will plan the offering to suit the exhibition themes, create the duty roster, control the working hours, and train employees on the job.
• You will plan and supervise occasions and events from preparation to implementation.
• You will take over the purchasing planning, control the delivery notes, account for the invoices, and perform general administrative tasks.
• You are responsible for correct cash management and daily accounting, compliance with operational hygiene according to the guidelines of the health inspectorate, as well as for the implementation of the café concept and operational management in the absence of the Café Manager.

Profile ##

• Hotel management school degree or solid vocational training as Chef de Service as well as several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• Solid specialist knowledge in the service and banquet sector as well as enjoyment in working with an international clientele
• Passionate host with high customer orientation and strong willingness to provide service, flexible availability, also in the evenings, on weekends and public holidays,
• Team player, reliable, resilient and independent personality with communication and organizational talent as well as experience in the operational guidance of teams
• Good IT knowledge, German in spoken and written form, oral English skills and ideally French language skills
