Additional information The Forage Crops and Grassland Systems group works from the valley to the Alpine region for sustainable grassland management. We create knowledge for a grassland that provides both high-quality, farm-own meadow fodder and diverse ecosystem services. For this purpose, we research site-adapted, efficient management, new artificial meadow mixtures and the stand management of natural meadows. Knowledge of the ecological processes of meadows and pastures contributes to using their resources sustainably and making the grassland fit for current challenges such as climate change.
