Initial Situation ###

Most people are counting sheep at this time - but you are counting pallets.

For national truck dispatching, we are looking for a clerk for the night shift. You keep an overview of the ongoing tours, stay in contact with drivers, and ensure that the goods arrive where they belong, even in the middle of the night. If something does not go according to plan somewhere, you are there and find a solution.

Tasks ###

• dispatching and coordinating national truck tours during the night shift
• monitoring ongoing transports and deliveries
• coordinating and supporting drivers on the road
• reacting to delays, breakdowns, and short-term changes
• receiving and processing customer and driver inquiries
• recording and processing transport orders and delivery information
• handing over the most important information to the day shift

Requirements ###

• completed commercial basic training, preferably in the field of freight forwarding or transport
• ideally initial experience in truck dispatching
• good organizational talent and enjoyment in keeping an overview
• readiness for regular night shifts
• calm and solution-oriented manner - even if a driver suddenly calls at 02.30

IT ###

MS-Office - good knowledge

Special ###

At night, dispatch is staffed with fewer people, but in return, much runs directly through you. You know which truck is on the road where, which delivery is still missing, and which driver currently needs your help. If something goes wrong at two o'clock in the morning, there are no ten people who must be asked first - you see what needs to be done, and you do it. If you prefer counting pallets to sheep and also keep a cool head at night, this could fit quite well.
