The Ombudsman office of Privatversicherung and Suva mediates independently, neutrally, and free of charge for the insured in cases of problems and conflicts with the private insurers affiliated with us, Suva, and other public law accident insurers in insurance matters.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic personality as of 1. Januar 2027 or by arrangement as

Lawyer

(Attorney admission to the bar an advantage)

Workload: 80 - 100 %

Contract type: Permanent employment

Languages: German (native language or at least business fluent), English skills an advantage

Work location: Zürich

Your tasks in this role:

• Processing of legal and complaint cases (written and telephone)
• Conducting negotiations in German, advantageously also in English
• Assessment and clarification of complex legal questions in all insurance sectors

What you bring for this role:

• Swiss university degree in law (attorney admission to the bar an advantage)
• Several years of professional experience in insurance law, ideally with sound practice in the legal assessment and support of claim cases in the areas of VVG (life and non-life) and UVG
• Independent, conscientious, and responsible way of working with high team orientation
• Negotiation skills, empathy, and confident appearance in delicate conversation situations
• High level of commitment and resilience
• Strong service orientation
