Senior Controller: Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich and University Medicine Zurich "University Medicine Zurich" (UMZH) is the network between the University of Zurich (UZH), the university hospitals in the Canton of Zurich, and ETH Zurich in the fields of medical research, teaching, and care. The Director of UMZH is also a member of the Board of Directors, in which she is responsible for the business of the Medical Faculty (MeF) together with the Dean and the Deputy Dean. The Board of Directors is supported by an office and the Finance and Human Resources department. Under the leadership of Finance & Human Resources MeF/UMZH, the Finance MeF/UMZH team currently comprises three employees. The advertised position is to be filled anew. Senior Controller: Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich and University Medicine Zurich Tasks Independent fulfillment of the following central tasks together with the team: Controlling and operational support for the Ordinance on Research and Teaching of the University in the Health Sector (VüFL) Execution of the financial processes (budgeting, multi-year planning, forecasts, annual financial statements) of UMZH and the MEF for the centrally managed areas Support for the decentralized units, as well as consolidation of the financial data Sparring partner for the financial managers of the service institutes of the MeF Analyzing, preparing, and commenting on the financial data of all areas Development of financial strategies and support in their implementation Further development of processes, tools, and templates for more efficient processing of tasks Project participation and management Profile Higher business administration education (e.g., Expert in Accounting and Controlling, education at university/university of applied sciences level) Several years of sound professional experience High solution and customer orientation with very good communication skills Mediating and assertive personality Precise working, independent prioritizing, and proactive action are indispensable Very good analytical and conceptual skills for the further development of processes and instruments Good SAP FI/CO and very good MS Office knowledge, especially Excel, are a prerequisite Stylistically confident expression in German (spoken and written), good English skills The assumption of leadership tasks is conceivable depending on qualifications We offer Our employees benefit from diverse and attractive offers.
