The SVGW is the national professional organization of water, gas, and heat supplies in Switzerland and contributes to the safe and sustainable supply of drinking water, gas, district heating, district cooling, and anergy through its guidelines, vocational training, the performance of state-relieving monitoring tasks, advisory services, and the certification of products, companies, and persons.

To strengthen our team at the headquarters in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced and assertive personality as a

Heat Specialist (80 – 100%)

Your challenge

• Further development of the service portfolio in the area of heat
• Active exchange with members and industry representatives as well as technical associations domestically and abroad
• Building and active maintenance of a network of members and specialists from other organizations, especially in French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie)
• Creation/revision of guidelines for the planning, construction, and operation of district heating, district cooling, and anergy networks
• Expansion of technical specialist commissions and technical project management in commission work
• Definition of contents for specialist conferences and congresses together with the members
• Support in the creation of training and further education offers
• Conveying technical knowledge in the form of articles in specialist journals or presentations at specialist events

Your competence

• Completed engineering studies in the field of energy technology, plant construction, HVAC, or mechanical engineering
• Several years of professional experience and proven specialist knowledge in the areas of district heating/cooling, energy technology, or network construction
• Fluent French skills in speaking and writing, stylish German
• Project management experience
• High social and communication competence
• Ability to convey complex technical contexts clearly and understandably as well as to formulate technical documents
