Cleaning Team Leader, 80 %

We are looking for an engaged and motivated specialist, starting immediately or by arrangement, who, together with the cleaning team, ensures the professional execution of cleaning work at Museum Rietberg. In addition, you are responsible for the compliance with and implementation of hygiene, safety, and occupational health and safety guidelines.

Tasks ##

• You organize and coordinate the daily cleaning work and actively participate in the cleaning during daily operations.
• You undertake the professional and personnel leadership of the cleaning team and plan work assignments, holidays, and absences.
• You ensure a high cleaning quality and place particular emphasis on careful cleaning in the vicinity of art objects, exhibition setups, and museum facilities.
• You are responsible for material management in the cleaning area (orders, warehousing, consumption control) as well as the organization of cleaning textiles (washing, drying, providing).
• You plan and carry out periodic special cleanings in side rooms, storerooms, technical zones, and sensitive areas and support cleaning work in the context of exhibition changes or events.

Profile ##

• Completed vocational training as a Gebäude-reiniger*in EFZ or equivalent training
• Several years of professional experience in cleaning, ideally in a museum or in a public environment
• Very good knowledge of common cleaning techniques, agents, and machines
• Experience in team leadership, leadership training is an advantage
• Good German language skills, spoken and written
