Senior Technical Product Owner Kubernetes / DevOps Platform (80–100%) Job description: End-to-end responsibility for a Managed Kubernetes Platform Definition and further development of product vision, roadmap and product backlog Prioritization of technical and functional requirements together with the DevOps and engineering team Close cooperation with internal stakeholders, B2B customers, product management and other product owners Ensuring stability, security, service quality and automation Technical sparring with Kubernetes and DevOps engineers regarding architecture and platform decisions Coordination of releases, changes and lifecycle topics Steering and communication of changes to internal and external stakeholders Continuous further development of the platform with regard to scalability, reliability and operational excellence About the customer: In this role, you take responsibility for a modern managed Kubernetes platform over the entire product lifecycle – from vision, roadmap and backlog to operation, releases and continuous optimization. You work closely with an experienced engineering team of Kubernetes and OpenShift specialists and form the interface between technology, business, internal stakeholders and B2B customers. Framework conditions: Location: Zürich / Homeoffice Start: from September 2026 Duration: until May 2027, with option for extension/takeover Workload: 100% Homeoffice: up to 3 days per week after onboarding This is not about classic product ownership without technical reference. You take responsibility for a technically demanding Kubernetes platform and work at eye level with experienced DevOps, Kubernetes and OpenShift engineers. At the same time, you can actively help shape the strategic further development of the platform and have a direct influence on roadmap, architecture, service quality and customer benefit. If you come from the Kubernetes, DevOps or platform engineering environment and have already taken on product or service responsibility, this position could fit you excellently. Requirements: Several years of experience as Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Service Owner, Platform Owner or in a comparable technical role Sound knowledge in the area of Kubernetes, container platforms and cloud technologies Good understanding of DevOps, platform engineering and GitOps Experience in creating, prioritizing and maintaining product backlogs and roadmaps Experience with agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe Ability to work strategically and conceptually while simultaneously actively participating in technical discussions Very good communication and stakeholder management skills Independent, structured way of working and a strong ownership mindset Very good German skills as well as good English skills Residence in Switzerland or willingness to work in Switzerland Of great advantage are: ArgoCD Prometheus and Grafana Cilium Velero Kyverno OpenShift Managed Services such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL or Kafka Service provider, telco or managed service environments Practical experience as a DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Engineer or Platform Engineer is a big plus.
