Center Director «Research & Development» in the field of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy / Mental Health 80-100 % (Professorship) As a professor and head of the center, you will undertake the strategic, professional, personnel, and organizational leadership of the research area and engage in further service areas of the university. You will shape the strategic further development of the center and are responsible for its positioning in the field of Research & Development. As a member of the leadership team of the institute management, you will also actively contribute to the further development of the newly constituted Institute for Mental Health. September 2026 Tasks Overall strategic, professional, personnel, and financial responsibility for the center with a focus on «Research & Development» in the field of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy / Mental Health Overall responsibility for the applied research portfolio of the center regarding planning, implementation, acquisition of third-party funds, evaluation and publication, and networking within the R&D of the department Profiling of applied research topics and focus areas and ensuring Scientific Outreach Acquisition of competitive research proposals from academic research funding institutions (e.g., Schweizerischer Nationalfonds, Innosuisse, EU funding) Budget responsibility of the center Leadership, support, and development of the center's employees Conception and implementation of courses at Bachelor and Master levels Active participation in the leadership team of the IMH institute; active contribution to the thematic profiling of the IMH and to the transfer of science and practice through intensive cooperation and coordination with the service areas of teaching and psychotherapy/psychological counseling Profile Completed university studies in psychology (MSc) with a doctorate in a relevant field, in particular Mental Health, Clinical Psychology, or Health Psychology Recognized additional qualification as a psychotherapist desirable At least five years of practical experience outside of universities Proven research expertise with an excellent track record in the acquisition, management of third-party funded research projects, and scientific publications Established national and international network in the professional field Extensive experience in the personnel, strategic, and financial leadership of expert organizations Strong leadership, integrative personality with high social competence and a pronounced sense of role Interest and competence in knowledge transfer, applied research, and the use of synergies between applied R&D, education, and services If the corresponding requirements are met (PhD, proven research competence and publication activity, at least five years of practice outside the university, and CAS in higher education didactics or comparable didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it) - the awarding of the professor title by the University of Applied Sciences Council is possible.
