Job description ______ Analyst, Global Market Analysis unit (m/f; 80% - 100%) Zurich / Permanent employment / hybrid In the Monetary and Foreign Exchange Markets division, you will be at the heart of monetary policy. The Global Market Analysis unit monitors and analyzes developments in international financial markets, reports on those of interest to the SNB, and prepares reports for monetary policy decisions. As a team, we place great importance on open and respectful collaboration and diverse perspectives.   Your mission ##   • Analysis and interpretation of financial market events and their implications for monetary policy • Implementation of quantitative projects on the development of analysis tools • Regular exchanges with key market players • Market reports addressed to various internal recipients • Drafting external communication (e.g., presentations) on topics relating to financial markets • Participation in the operational implementation of monetary policy as a foreign exchange trader • Residence close to Zurich due to on-call services and evening work to be expected Your profile ##   • Degree from a university (master or doctorate) in economics, econometrics, financial sciences, data science or a related discipline with a quantitative orientation • Solid knowledge of programming languages (Python, Matlab and/or R) and great motivation to learn new methods and technologies • Keen interest in financial markets and monetary policy • Creativity, foresight, meticulous and well-structured working method • Excellent team spirit and initiative, desire to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment • Very good communication skills in French or German and excellent command of English • Preferably, experience in financial market analysis Our offer ### We offer you a varied activity serving the general interest of Switzerland and significantly supporting the economy, the population and the stability of the financial system.
